Underwater World Langkawi
Stretching across almost 6 acres of property, the Underwater World Langkawi is now one of the area’s most popular attractions. Positioned on Pantai Cenang’s southern tip and close to Pantai Tengah’s border, the site is easy to reach. As Malaysia’s biggest aquarium, the attraction introduces guests to a variety of marine life as well as land-based animals and underwater vegetation.
Discovering the Ocean’s Creatures
At the Langkawi aquarium, guests will come face-to-face with giant rays and seahorses along with penguins, freshwater fish and coral reefs. The attraction hosts an estimated 4,000 aquatic species and more than 500 animal species including birds and flamingos. With 100 meticulously designed tanks and areas specially created for its tropical rainforest inhabitants, the aquarium takes the care of its residents seriously.
The facility’s main area features an underwater marine tunnel where creatures like sharks, green turtles and groupers are on display. While touring the facility, visitors can also spend time at the koi pond where the tranquil sound of the area’s waterfall delivers a peaceful moment.
