Marine Park

The tiny Malaysian archipelago of Langkawi is home to an abundance of unique people, plants and animals thanks to its unique geography. While most major nature attractions can be reached by car or taxi on the main island, some require taking a boat to one of the other 103 small islands that make up Langkawi. Langkawi Wildlife Park & Bird Paradise

The Langkawi Wildlife Park and Bird Paradise houses more than 150 different bird species in addition to other native wildlife that visitors can interact with and hand-feed. Located in Kilim VIllage, this sprawling five-acre complex allows visitors to walk through a tropical garden alongside toucans, flamingos, eagles, owls and canaries flying freely. The knowledgeable team of guides can tell you anything you want to know about the many animal residents of this popular Langkawi park.

Taman Lagenda Langkawi

Fans of Malaysian mythology must visit Lagenda Langkawi Dalam Taman, the world renowned folklore themed park. Set in a 50-hectare garden facing the Kuah waterfront, this open air museum contains massive sculptures of monsters, ogres and princesses alongside signs in English that explain the many legends of Langkawi. Just a few steps away from the island’s duty free stores, the complex also has several man-made lakes and extensive trails for walkers and joggers to explore.
