Langkawi is famed for its beautiful islands, duty-free shopping, and mythical legends. The famous Langkawi Cable Car and Sky Bridge, located in the Oriental Village, remains as one of the more popular tourist attractions on the island. The Oriental Village also houses an attraction that is often overlooked – the Art in Paradise Interactive 3D Art Museum. The second largest 3D art museum in the world and the largest in Malaysia, this museum is tucked away in a corner of the little village.
Not just any regular art museum, Art in Paradise is an interactive museum, which means you can run, crawl, climb and touch any of the artwork in this museum. Think of it as a giant indoor playground! This interactive museum features nine different interactive zones, including an optical illusion zone, aquarium zone, safari zone, Malaysia zone and more. Transport yourself to a whole new world and marvel at the exotic animals in the safari zone, or take a tour of the world-famous masterpieces, all without leaving the island!
Filled with over 105 pieces of interactive artwork hand-painted by acclaimed artists, the 3D art springs to life – if you’re standing in the right spot. The stunning artwork are amazingly life-like, so think outside the box and create your own scenarios with them. Our current Prime Minister, Tun M, also makes an appearance in the museum – now’s your chance to shake hands with him!
This museum is the perfect destination for memorable holiday photos. Both kids and adults will have fun and enjoy posing with the unique exhibits at this museum. The photo opportunities are endless at the 3D art museum, so be sure to have your phone or camera fully charged before heading there for some #instaworthy photos.
